Abby Donnelly recently graduated from Ohio University with her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, minor in Psychology, and certificate in Entrepreneurship. She began dancing at age three at Cincy Dance Studio. She is trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, African, and Modern. She choreographed and performed her recent solo work, scrapbook, in the 2024 Spring Senior Dance Concert at Ohio University. Her choreography has also been featured in the Fall Senior Dance Concert, Junior Project Showing, and the Movement x ABCD concert. While she was a student, Abby taught Tap and Ballet at Factory Street Dance Studio, located in Athens, Ohio, for two years. She has worked with Take Root, a professional dance company based in Detroit, and performed their work, Transit, in Ohio University’s Winter Dance Concert 2024. Abby has done summer intensives with the University of Cincinnati, Alexandra Beller, and the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. She was accepted into the Bobcat Leadership Scholars cohort her freshman year, where she made meaningful connections and learned about different and effective leadership styles. Abby is the recipient of the OHIO Distinction, OHIO Focus, Fine Arts Talent/Endowed, OHIO Gateway, and OHIO Pathway Scholarships.
